Sr. Class OfficersWelcome to the official website of the Independence High School Senior Class of 2009. As you know, we are now all seniors and we will be graduating in 12 months. It's going to be our last year of high school and I know that many of you will want to make it memorable. Well, to make it easier for everyone, this website will keep those that aren't in leadership up to date with senior activities and spirit events. Information about fundraisers, spirit days, assembly games, airbands, class paintings, senior events, prom, etc can all be found on this website, so subscribe to this blog to stay updated!

The most important thing for senior year is our class t-shirts. Remember that our senior class t-shirt is BLACK. We would love to get all designs in before September 5th, so please keep your creativity flowing this summer and come up with something creative for our t-shirt. All designs should be saved in .psd or .pdd (photoshop or any other graphic design program) in a high resolution for better quality on the shirt. If you choose to draw the design, please scan it in .jpg and keep it in a high resolution format so we can see all the details.
Second important thing is our senior button. This year we had an orange button with the Kanye bear on it. It would be nice to get another great design so that we can make buttons again. We were the only class to have buttons this year AND they were really attractive. Be creative and submit any designs or ideas to us for shirts or buttons to seniors.ihs2009@gmail.com.
Thirdly, the first real "senior activity" and fundraiser would be the painting of the senior stage. SO! If anyone is interested in painting the senior stage or has a certain design in mind, please email seniors.ihs2009@gmail.com and let us know, and we'll definitely be in contact. This is also a fundraiser for the senior class because we will be selling "bricks". Each brick on the side of the senior stage is being sold for $1 and this entitles you to paint your name(s) on that one brick. Every brick is an additional $1 and it will stay on the stage until August of 2009. This activity will most likely take place in the middle of August either prior to or during ID/schedule distribution. So if you're interested, please comment us or email us your info and we'll make sure we give you a reminder when the day comes.
Keep checking this website for more information on Senior bandannas and when they will be sold and for how much. Also, we are almost sold out of SIXERS sweaters, so if there is a high demand or passionate request for the SIXERS sweater, we will re-order more. There are still sweaters available in A-312 for only $20, so get yours before they're gone. Be the one to show off your SIXERS pride at those football games that will be coming up in the fall.
Lastly, please email seniors.ihs2009@gmail.com with your name and contact # if you are interested in participating in our senior fundraising car wash this summer, more information will be TBA. This includes date, location, and time. It's a great social event and bonding event with your fellow seniors, so please email us if you're interested!!
